Intro to graphic design

graphic processes

Use the links above to see student work from the Auburn University graphic design curriculum courses I've been teaching. I also teach a design thinking course for non-majors, and just this past fall led the graphic design senior project course.

The majority of the work completed in my classes is project based. While the finished product is what we hold up as the prize, it is the process where valuable learning takes place. Forced adherence to a multi-staged process involving research, creative briefs, sketching (before going to the computer), and multiple critiques drive concept over style. The goal is for students to adopt a problem solving methodology on their way to becoming professional graphic designers.
